Ministry of Environment and Forestry in collaboration with CESS conducts EIA Basics Training

[cess.unpad.ac.id, 26/09/2021] Center for Environmental Excellence and Sustainability Science (Pulik)/Center for Environment and Sustainability Science (CESS) continues to be committed to contributing to realizing sustainable environmental management. sustainable. One of them is by holding Education and Training regularly every year which is attended by various levels of society such as State Civil Apparatus (ASN), Development Consultants, BUMN, Students, Environmental Observer Groups to the community in general. The purpose of holding EIA Training is to provide understanding and knowledge related to Environmental Impact Analysis Studies (EIA).

In 2021, PULIK/CESS in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment and Forestry will hold a 5-day Basic Education and Training on Environmental Impact Analysis (EIA) (20-24 September 2021). The process of implementing the EIA Basics Training is carried out online (on a network) using the Zoom Meeting platform. The event was opened by Prof. Parikesit, M.Sc., Ph.D as Chair of the Center for Excellence in Environmental Science. Then, the training materials were delivered by various experts in the EIA field, both from internal PULIK/CESS and from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry.

As stated by several participants, the purpose of participating in the Basic Education and Training on Environmental Impact Analysis is to gain an understanding of the principles of environmental protection and management. Thus, the material can be applied in every performance in their respective fields of work. After attending the EIA Basics Training, it is hoped that this will be the first step to be able to realize sustainable development while still paying attention to aspects of the surrounding environment.
